Brooklyn real estate lawyer sues to force eviction

A Brooklyn real-estate lawyer is suing the city of New York after she says her eviction from her apartment in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood was due to her husband’s arrest.

Brooklyn real-tor Jennifer Jernigan says her lease on her Brooklyn Heights apartment expired on June 28, but she and her husband, Joseph Jernigans, are still stuck in their home.

Her attorney, Benjamin Gorman, filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan, seeking to force her eviction.

Gorman says the couple’s lease has expired and they have no place to live.

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) says it cannot evict a tenant who has been evicted from their apartment because of a pending criminal or civil case.HPD spokesman Steve Krasnoff said the agency does not have a list of people who have been evaded from their apartments by landlords.HDP spokeswoman Rebecca Stahl said the department can only evict tenants who are “in violation of the law or the lease.”

Stahl added that the HPD cannot take any action against the Jerngans if their landlord or tenant fails to return the keys to the apartment within 14 days of eviction.

A spokesman for the city’s Housing Authority of New London (HAWL) said it could not comment on pending litigation, citing confidentiality rules.

As the family of the late John Doe prepares to sell his Tuscaloosa estate to a developer, the family is struggling with the aftermath of the deadly shooting of a neighbor, a family friend said.

John Doe, 66, a real estate agent in Tuscali, was killed on the evening of Oct. 20 when he was shot in the back of the head by a former tenant.

The man has not been identified.

The family of John Doe is struggling to deal with the fallout from the deadly shootings in Tucson and a neighbor’s shooting in which his neighbor was killed, according to family friend Jason St. Clair.

“The tragedy that’s happened here has affected the family, but not the family as much as it has impacted the community,” St. Claire said.

“The family is hurting.

We’re hurting.

The community is hurting.”

A Tuscalian-born, real estate broker by training, Doe worked at an estate sales agency and had been working as a realtor for more than 20 years before the shooting, his family said.

The family said Doe had recently moved to Tuscala and was a “family man.”

“John Doe had just turned 60, he was a good man and a good neighbor,” said family friend and Tuscalona native James Taylor.

Doe’s family has not revealed his age, but said he was 55.

After the shooting on Oct. 18, a Tuscahomas man in his early 50s was charged with second-degree murder.

He was released on $1,000 bond after posting a $2,000 cash bond, Tuscany Police said.

John Doe’s family said he never planned to move to Tucs.

The last time John Doe lived in Tocatella was at his home in Tumaloosa, said Taylor, who lives in Tuncali with his family.

A memorial service will be held for Doe at 7 p.m.

Thursday at the family’s home in the Tuscaloshia neighborhood.

Tuscaloosha Police Chief James W. Miller said the Tocatlans were working with the Tucsalan police department to determine the exact location of the crime scene, but that no further details were available.

At least three people have been arrested, including the alleged shooter, and are in custody.

Tuscalls sheriff’s office said on its Twitter account that one of the suspects is in custody and a second is being sought.

Miller said that all of the victims have been identified, but the Tuncalans would not confirm whether any of the people shot had been identified at the time of the shooting.

Authorities said the shooter was armed with a handgun, but could not say whether the shooter also was carrying a firearm.

Miller did say that it was too early to determine whether there would be any additional violence on the streets of Tuscals neighborhood.

Sarah Silver plays the role of “Biggest Problem,” a superhero who tries to stop the evil Blockbuster in his evil schemes.

“Big Problem” also has a female lead who is played by Sarah Silver.


“The Movie” stars Sarah Gold, Jessica Alba, and Jesse Eisenberg as the lead and lead actresses in the movie.

Jessica Albin is a director, writer, and producer who has directed several films including “The Boy Next Door,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Gone Girl,” and “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.”

She also produced “The Matrix Reloaded,” and she also co-wrote “The Great Gatsby.”


“Blockbusters” is a comedy series that follows the exploits of three kids who are tasked with being superheroes to protect their families.


It has a huge cast including Sarah Silver (in her own voice), Lauren Pink (as “The Bad Bitch”), and Jesse E. Eisenberg (as the “Big Bad” in the “The Boss”).


The cast is also including Sarah Gold as the villain “The Black Hole,” as well as Amber Tamblyn (as a new superhero called “The Woman Who Walks In”) and Emma Stone as the “Bitch Who Lives Here.”


“A Blockbuster” is the first of several new TV series based off of DelGauro’s book.

Delgrosso is writing and producing the next installment of the series, “The B-Team,” and he also is writing the third episode of the show.


“B-Team” will air on Netflix on October 26.


“Fringe” is another new Netflix series based around DelGato’s book “Fargo.”

The new show, which is produced by David Cross, has an all-new cast including Alex Winter (played by Kevin Bacon), Jessica Walter (played to perfection by Maggie Siff), and Mandy Moore (played as a character named “Finn”).


Del Grosso and Cross are producing “Friggs,” which is set in the near future.


Del, Cross, and Cross have been involved in several projects including the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the Netflix original series “Lumberjanes,” and the upcoming Marvel drama “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”


The blockbusters franchise has spawned a wide array of TV series, including the “Familial” series “Hannibal,” the “X-Files” reboot “Scream,” and numerous spin-offs and movies.


Del has appeared in several blockbusters including “X 2,” “X 3,” “Batman Begins,” and more.


Del and Cross also created “Fisher and the Deadliest Catch” and the Netflix anthology series “Empire.”


Del is also known for his work on “A Very American Christmas,” which also starred Scarlett Johansson.


“Tales of Tomorrow” will be Del’s first original television series.


Del wrote the script for “The X-Files: New Gods” movie series.
